Photography

When I travel I am fortunate to meet and photograph amazing people. They tell me their stories, which in turn inspire my writing. The photographs in this slideshow were shot in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya, and Tanzania. Some of them provided inspiration for my Young Adult manuscript, Talking Bones.

My photographs documenting the lives of women and girls in countries throughout Africa, Asia, and the Americas have been exhibited in galleries in Wisconsin, New Jersey, and New York, and are in private collections around the world.
